Overview and highlights.

A two week epic adventure through East Africa.

Part one. Uganda.

This part of the incredible journey will take us through some of the most breathtaking scenery in Uganda and give you the opportunity to get close to, photograph and experience the critically endangered Mountain Gorilla, Chimpanzees and a plethora of other magnificent wildlife. We will be trekking and hiking in order to reach the areas where the Gorillas, Chimpanzees and other primates inhabit - it is advisable that a reasonable and decent level of fitness is required as sometimes the terrain can be difficult.

After arriving and overnighting in Entebbe, we'll travel north to Kibale National Forest for two nights, which is home to the largest groups of chimpanzees in Uganda. It is here where a full-day chimpanzee habituation trek will be undertaken. These habituation treks are less crowded and provide an opportunity to spend more quality time with one of our closest living relatives.

From Kibale, we travel east towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for three nights. It is here where you'll take part in two mountain gorilla treks over the next few days. We'll travel through Uganda's resplendent countryside. Jungle forest capped mountains, deep valleys with crater lakes, coffee and tea plantations, also passing through immensely colourful communities. And we'll pass over the Equator, giving you an opportunity to tick off another accomplishment which many would love - walking across the equator!

In Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, we’ll spend spend two mornings in search of the noble Mountain Gorillas. Although the trekking elements may involve hiking through potentially difficult terrain it will certainly be worthwhile as it will give a great chance of having a life-changing experiencing with this astounding, yet critically endangered species. But please don’t be deterred, there is always help on hand from local Porters, who used to be Poachers and now work alongside the conservation efforts to protect these critically endangered species.

Part two. Kenya/Tanzani

This is where seasons come in to play and the time of year will determine where in either Kenya or Tanzania we travel to. Using my knowledge and experience, I will put us in the best possible position to see the best wildlife activity. If we head to Kenya, we'll spend six nights in the stunning Maasai Mara and in Tanzania it will be a marvellous combination of the Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater.

The Maasai Mara and the Serengeti form an immense ecosystem which spans well over 31,000 square kilometres and is home to the Great Migration, which is a year-long cycle where millions of plains game such as wildebeest, zebra and other animals follow the fresh green pastures constantly searching for water and food. This huge migration of wildlife must pass through areas filled with prides of lions, coalitions of cheetah, clans of hyena and leopard territories. The saga of the sheer instinct to survive is one that will take you through a huge range of emotions.

This outstanding journey has been considered to give you an exceptional wildlife experience - giving you the opportunity to witness and photograph a diverse range of African species. Leaving you with an abundance of amazing memories and images to take home and inspire you.
